Job Description Sabre Air Shopping system is handling flight travel requests from travel agents, online agencies and airlines, returning huge number of results based on optimized and customized controls. This complex organism consisting of several components developed mainly in C++ is maintaining a rate of nearly six thousand TPS and is hosted on hundreds of boxes. The complexity of business logic requires constant focus on optimization and the demand for processing power and high response times imposes the use of newest, optimal and scalable technologies. Intellisell is an orchestrator of air shopping flow and is part of critical system. The environment consists of main C++ applications (Intellisell and Cache) and smaller java apps. The team owns also Pricing Domain Controller [PDC] which is an orchestrator for air pricing traffic. We are focused to create innovative, scalable, highly optimized solutions. Responsibilities Leading and supervising team of developers including setting goals and developing team members (giving performance feedback to developers; completing mid-year and end of year employee appraisal's systems; taking action on issues related to performance; rewarding and recognizing high performing employees) Understanding enterprise software development life cycle, supporting and mentoring the team Delivering solutions that meet business requirements and providing necessary technical support Creating new ideas to improve application performance, deployment, and stability Presenting the vision to senior leadership Working collaboratively with extended teams (Product Management, Product Marketing, Operations, Sales and Delivery) across geographical locations Keeping internal and external customers informed of project and resource plan Job Requirements IT background (Computer Sciences, Information Technology or equivalent) Minimum 5 years of experience in IT area and at least 2 years on formal or informal team lead position Excellent written and verbal communications skills both English and Polish, clear and concise communication manners, serves as the leader conduit between internal and external teams Excellent team work & team building orientation, ability to work in virtual teams Knowledge of Agile methods Understanding of SOAP/XML and/or REST/JSON web services Understanding of matters related to Software Quality Assurance and Continuous Integration Excellent conflict management and influencing skills Why it is worth working with us?
